The first raw water intake was built in 1931 by the company Willy Stäubli Ing. AG, and we can now look back on around 80 successfully implemented projects of this kind. With the help of the water catchment, for example, the lake water is pumped through a heat exchanger to transfer heat and cooling energy and then transported back into the lake through a return pipe.
