On behalf of the City of Zurich, Office for Building Construction, we have extended the Zurich-Tiefenbrunnen lido with another bathing raft to offer bathers additional space and comfort.

The basic requirement was a raft size of 6 x 5 meters, equipped with two bathing ladders for easy entry and exit. In order to determine the maximum payload of the raft, a maximum occupancy of 60 people was assumed. Through iterative calculations, the necessary buoyancy of the floating bodies could be optimally defined.

Two gently sloping bathing ladders have been designed for comfortable use. The raft cladding is made of durable larch wood, and the horizontal cover grates can be removed for the winter months.

After assembling and launching the new bathing raft in Zurich-Tiefenbrunnen, it was brought to its final position. Our professional divers used chain strands to securely fasten the raft to the previously positioned buoy stones on the lake bed.
